Apartment building Urk

A four-storey apartment building with twenty apartments and two penthouses has been realized in the Oranjewijk in Urk. The building has an L-shape so that ‘living’ is situated on both sides of the street. The entrances and galleries are located on the inside of the building. The storage rooms are located at the rear of the building.

The building consists of a yellow brick architecture with concrete accents and hot-dip galvanized steel. The horizontal articulation of the concrete edges, which continue into the balconies, give the facade a special accent.

Height differences have also been applied in the naves and staggered steps have been made in the parapets. This together gives the building a contemporary character.

The twenty apartments have an area of approximately 70 m2 and have two bedrooms. They also each have a semi-indoor balcony. A common room has been realized on the ground floor. Here residents can gather with each other or with friends or family.
