Bershka Zwolle
A listed retail property in the centre of Zwolle has been completely restored and rebuilt. The building originally consisted of a historic front section (including the façade) and the rear was built later. The older area has been preserved and restored, whilst the back section is demolished and rebuilt. The façade has been altered with an appropriate new shopfront on the ground floor.
The reason for demolishing the rear part was that the floors in this part were at a different level than the floors in the monumental front, causing considerable height differences in the store. In the newly-built section, the floors of the two parts will be level with each other. Additionally, a part of the roof on the rear section was also retained and renovated. The property now consists of two retail levels with a total floor area of 1,000 m2.
