Office building Wapserveen

On the former terrain of a bus company in Wapserveen, B+O Architecten made an eye-catching corporate building. The company is a sales address for stones and roof tiles. The possibilities of how the stones can be used, are literally shown in the façade. Different colours and thicknesses of the stones stand next to each other as supporting piers against the façade. This gives the building a playful appearance, while at the same time serving as a shop window and experimental garden.

The client sees, in reality, what the possibilities of the material are. The building reflects what is being sold and therefore is the ultimate shop window. However, three large shop windows have also been made in the façade itself, which are inviting and offer a wide view of the interior of the shop. At the rear of the complex, the old, wooden shed is still visible.
