Pavilion Nijstad

B+O has designed a special pavilion in Hoogeveen. The former sand extraction site ‘Nijstad’ is being developed into a tourist attraction in which recreation, hospitality, water sports, living and nature come together. The pavilion is part of the plan.

The architecture of the pavilion fits in seamlessly with the character of the area. The black facades refer to the black-tarred barns and boat houses from the area. Also two roof overhangs intertwine. On the terrace side, the overhang offers shelter from the elements.
