In the main shopping street in the city centre of Tilburg, a retail building was enlarged and rebuilt. The international shop Zara moved into the building.
The existing building was fully stripped. New floors were partially installed and the main construction was radically changed in several places. The neighbouring building got demolished to realise the three-storey extension of the retail building. The main façade of the demolished building was used as the example for the realised extension.
The main challenge was to realise the renovation and extension within a very limited building time and in a tight urban location.
The result of the renovation and extension is a large and transparent shop. An inviting three-storey building with a powerful appearance on a prominent location in the centre of Tilburg.
